The Davidson Partners for Children’s Health facilitates the organizational structure for the Davidson County National Children’s Study Web site, which is contractually administered by Vanderbilt University.
Davidson County, TN, is primarily an urban county that includes the state capitol, Nashville. Davidson County is the most populous and oldest county in Middle Tennessee. Nashville is the region’s hub for commerce, industry, transportation, and culture.
We begin inviting women living in Davidson County to join the Study beginning in December 2010.
Davidson Partners for Children’s Health functions as a collaborative in Middle Tennessee to facilitate large-scale research with potential to advance maternal and child health. Logistically, the team is led by senior scientists and administrative leaders. It includes full participation by each of the six birth facilities and their physician leadership, the Tennessee and Metro Departments of Health, and the Governor’s Office of Children’s Care Coordination.
