The Community Practice Partners program provides an opportunity for local physicians and health care providers to show their support for the National Children's Study in Waukesha County.
Community Practice Partners assist the Study by:
- Encouraging eligible women and their families to join the Study
- Educating staff about the Study and how to refer related patient questions to the local Study Center office
- Displaying Study information in health care provider offices and waiting areas
- Providing access to patient medical records for the Study, with the written permission of the Study participant
- Assisting with the collection of cord blood samples and placentas
- Helping to spread the word in Waukesha County about the National Children's Study
To assist these partners with their support, the Waukesha County Vanguard Center will provide Study signage (PDF 299 KB) and display materials highlighting the Study's commitment to children's health and assistance in training staff to respond to patient inquiries about the Study. Partners will also receive quarterly newsletters to keep them current on Study progress. Back issues of the health care provider community newsletter (PDF 305 KB) are also available.
