Executive Director, Utah State Office of Ethnic Affairs
Jesse Soriano currently serves as the director for the State Office of Ethnic Affairs where he oversees the Directors of Asian, Black, Hispanic/Latino, and Pacific Islander Affairs. Mr. Soriano has worked in many capacities serving the ethnic community and community at large. His previous experience includes serving as director for the University of Utah Health Science Ethnic Minority Affairs, senior education specialist at Mountain West Educational Equity Center at Weber State University, and director for the Office of Bilingual Education and Minority Language Affairs at the United States Department of Education. Mr. Soriano holds a Master’s degree in Foreign Language as well as in Education Administration from Michigan State University.
