Keith Horwood, M.D. is the Medical Director for the Community Health Centers in Salt Lake City. He was born in Lansing, Michigan, but was raised mostly in Idaho where he graduated from Northwest Nazarene University in 1980. Following graduation from medical school at the University of Washington (Seattle) in 1984, Dr. Horwood came to the University of Utah Family Medicine Program finishing in 1987. His first year in practice was in Manzini, Swaziland in southern Africa, but he came home to the Community Health Centers (CHC) in 1989 and has been there since. He is the co-director of the Family Medicine OB Fellowship sponsored by the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine (DFPM) and CHC. He enjoys the challenge of practicing mostly in Spanish and English and, with the addition of a translator, also in Vietnamese and Thai. His academic interests include Family Centered Obstetrics and International Medicine.
