An experienced and well-rounded team of investigators from the University of California, San Diego and San Diego State University have come together to carry out the National Children’s Study in San Diego County. However, the success of the Study depends on the involvement of the community, including the families who might participate in the Study and the organizations that serve and support them. Thus, a growing and collaborative network consisting of local hospitals and clinics, local government departments and officials, and community agencies (among others) have joined efforts to ensure that the National Children’s Study fulfills its potential and that it addresses the needs of San Diego County residents.
