The OCVC, one of seven National Children’s Study Vanguard locations in the United States, was established in 2005.  It leads the implementation of the Study in Orange County, California. The OCVC combines the expertise and leadership of research organizations throughout Orange County. Together with its community partners, the OCVC will have research sites serving National Children’s Study participants throughout Orange County. 

Orange County was chosen as one of the first locations for the National Children’s Study because of its location, the people who live here, and the number of children born here each year. Including Orange County in the National Children’s Study will help to ensure that the Study represents all of America’s children.
