Recruitment for the National Children's Study began for the Southern and Central California Study Center in Orange County in Spring 2009. For more information, visit the Welcome to the Orange County Vanguard Center page. Study staff will visit homes in various neighborhoods in Orange County to invite eligible women to join the Study. Eventually, the Study will enroll more than 1,000 children and their families throughout Orange County in this important study of children's health, growth, and development.
Recruiting is also taking place in San Diego County. Together, with other locations throughout the country, the Study will represent the face of all of America's children.
