The San Diego County Vanguard location is supported by the expert community knowledge of our Community Partners Advisory Board (CPAB). The goal of the CPAB is to involve local communities in the National Children’s Study and to ensure that the community’s perspectives, interests, and needs are respected and represented during the planning and implementation of the Study.
CPAB members, many of whom represent community-based and key partner organizations in San Diego County, provide us with invaluable knowledge about our participating neighborhoods. They also provide suggestions and ideas that will help make the National Children’s Study a success and a trusted community partner.
CPAB members help spread the word about the National Children’s Study throughout San Diego County. They are Study advocates, increasing awareness about and establishing a presence for the Study in the community. Our CPAB members help ensure the continued success of the San Diego County Vanguard location and the National Children’s Study.
