At the Orange County Vanguard Center we are committed to partnering with members of the community in order to better understand and relate to the people whom we invite to participate in this landmark study. To that end, we have formed Neighborhood Advisory Committees (NACs) in each of the fifteen neighborhoods around the county where we are recruiting participants. Members of these groups include school board administrators, social service providers, law enforcement officers, parents, and others interested in the health and welfare of children.

Our NACs meet a few times each year and help us brainstorm about the best ways to reach out to potential research participants as well as the ways in which the National Children's Study might give back to their community. If you are interested in joining a NAC in your neighborhood, please contact Mary Coggins at 949-824-4672 for more information.
