The South Dakota State University Study Center appreciates the efforts of many individuals and organizations in support of the National Children's Study. To be successful, this project requires the engagement of the community. We seek out the advice of community members throughout the BYPL Study Location. We work closely with local medical, social, and public health practitioners to ensure that the study is acceptable to them and to understand what information should be provided to the community.
Community Advisory Council
The Community Advisory Council (CAC) members represent key organizations and institutions and provide important advice about community outreach and engagement in the BYPL counties.
Purpose of the CAC is to assist with:
- Planning for community outreach and engagement in the BYPL site
- Maintaining effective communications between the Study team and communities
- Offering advice regarding Study activities for the BYPL location
