Welcome to the Gateway Study Center for the National Children’s Study. The Gateway Study Center is the administrative and research home for the St. Louis City, Missouri Study location.
Collaboration is essential for a study of 21 years duration. A team of researchers, data collection experts, doctors caring for mothers and children, public health specialists, and community members work with many hospitals, primary care providers, community leaders, and residents to carry out the Study.
Our vision is a Study Center that inspires research relevant to children in our bi-state area and across the nation. The project is coordinated by the Saint Louis University School of Public Health.
The Gateway Study Center represents a unique local collaboration between Saint Louis University, Washington University, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and Battelle Memorial Institute who make up the research team.
