Welcome to the Emory Battelle Morehouse Chattanooga (EBMC) Study Center for the National Children’s Study. The EBMC Study Center is the administrative and research home for the Study in multiple counties in Georgia and Tennessee. A team of scientists, data collection experts, and staff support these efforts. This Web site provides more information about the Study Center and the Study locations where we will be working.
A team of researchers from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University School of Medicine, Battelle Memorial Institute, Morehouse School of Medicine, and University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga, are working together to plan and implement the Study at our Center. This team is made up of social scientists, obstetricians (doctors who deliver babies), pediatricians (doctors who care for infants and children), public health researchers, and data collection experts who have an interest in improving the health of families and their children. Our vision is a Study Center that inspires research specifically relevant to children in Georgia and Tennessee, as well as the country as a whole. The project is coordinated at Emory University.
