Welcome to the Duplin County Vanguard Location for the National Children's Study

Duplin County is a close-knit, rural community of slightly more than 60,000 residents. The National Children’s Study (NCS) will recruit almost half of the county’s pregnant women and their children during the next 5 years. Duplin residents are excited about their selection as a “Vanguard Community” and proud to contribute to the health and well-being of children through participation as one of the first two sites in the Nation that started the Study in January 2009.
