The conference theme was "A Century of Public Health Service & Leadership Honoring the Past—Investing in the Future." The National Children's Study is a prime example of investing in the future—investing in children's health is investing in the future. The NCPHA, an affiliate of the American Public Health Association, is a consortium of individuals and organiztions dedicated to promoting and improving health among North Carolinians through political advocacy, professional development, public awareness, and serving as an interface between research and practice. The North Carolina Study Center joins the North Carolina public health community through our efforts in all NCS counties.
