How will the adjunct studies process work?

The National Children's Study provides the opportunity to explore the data that are being collected as part of the Study-wide protocol and to develop adjunct studies that build on a sub-cohort of the National Children's Study. Adjunct studies must obtain independent funding and must be approved at the national level. The process for review of adjunct studies at the national level can be found at on the national Web site's Adjunct Studies page at: www.nationalchildrensstudy.gov/research/adjunctstudies/Pages/default.aspx.

Researchers who wish to propose using the North Carolina Study Center’s Study locations for adjunct studies will also need to obtain permission from the Study Center. An adjunct study procedure for the North Carolina Study Center is being developed and will be posted here soon.
