In additional to our national goals, the Pacific Northwest Center for the National Children’s Study is involved in a wide range of projects that will help the directors of the Study decide what information is the most important to collect from each of our participating families. Some of the projects for which we are providing scientific leadership and support are listed below:

  • Analyzing the Stability and Variability of Environmental Contaminants in House Dust in Order to Optimize National Children’s Study Exposure Assessment (Dust Variability)
  • Real-time Analytics and Molecular Markers for National Children’s Study Samples
  • Validation and Optimization of Cortisol in Hair Samples for Quantification of Long-term Cortisol and Environmental Exposures in Pregnant and Nonpregnant Women (collaboration with eight other Study Centers)
